So far, so good. The WordPress upgrade was just as smooth as the initial installation. It was a tad longer than 5 minutes, but I think 25 minutes is still within reason, especially when it works! I do like the WYSIWYG post editor and I will await the arrival (and hopefully disposal) of the first spam comment, courtesy of Akismet (see update below).
Now that I have had my breather, it is time to get back to working on all the other unfinished business I have stacked around my keyboard. I'll gradually work on the layout and adding back in my favorite and some new WP plugins. I cannot wait to try the new widgets.
Update: Speaking of Akismet, it is working like a champ! Bad spam, bad spam, kill spam!

I need a break! Between schoolwork, the campaign, and just breathing (forget about eating and sleeping), I am going to take an hour and finally upgrade to WP 2.x. Off to upgrade - back in a few (I hope).
Yes, if you look at the webcam, you'll be seeing more and more of me at the keyboard. Between map building, snowfall forecasting, and geographic research, I will be burning the proverbial midnight oil for the next several weeks. Like I need a major political campaign to work on! Well, most of that work is now just content updates, mailings, and react/response, at least until I get my school work done. Putting together my final Advanced Meteorology labs this morning, I just need to get my severe weather analysis and presentation together for next week and study for the final. GIS Applications is a matter of catch up fast and a poster or two, as well as helping out a classmate get caught up. Senior project... well, that is my major issue. I am a survivor, though, so it will all come together!
Back to work! Back to work!
In this news item from the Taunton Gazette via the Associated Press:
Vice President Dick Cheney's former top aide told prosecutors President Bush authorized the leak of sensitive intelligence information about Iraq, according to court papers filed by prosecutors in the CIA leak case. Can you say it's all over? Let us hope it is!
