In the US, it is Memorial Day, a day in which we take a moment to do something that we should all do every day of the year. While you BBQ, work in the yard, sit on the beach, or whatever, take a moment to thank those family members (my father served in WWII in the Pacific as did my uncle who was a career officer in the US Army), friends and others who served our country in the military. Even going to the Wawa this morning, I thanked the young man behind the cash register who I know is a US Army reservist.
Also, take a moment to hope that all of those who are currently serving, stationed world-wide in war-torn areas, will come home safely to a country who will give them what they need to again become a part of the community that they serve to protect.
