For those of you who use the new iGoogle page or use the Google Desktop, you are familiar Google Gadgets, but did you know that you can add them to your own web site? Check out the Google Gadgets page and see just how easy it is! The gadget I am using here is called Photo Clock, a simple analog clock that you can customize with a background image. In this case, I chose the Maltese Cross logo for our fire company.

You can resize, change the framing, background color, as well as the color of the clock hands. This is available along with over 30,000 more in the Gadgets directory. And there appears to be a dozen for anything you could possibly dream of. If not, you can always write one yourself or modify someone else's to do the trick (yes, the ones I looked through all appeared to be licensed under Creative Commons and the source is easily displayed).

So after you have had enough of wrapping paper, eggnog, and string bean casserole, have some fun! Here is one I have added my Intranet start page!
